Ok...I usually don't post pictures of my kids on this blog. It really isn't what this blog is about. But, I have posted all of the cakes I have ever made and so, I thought...in honor of her starting college, I would post my favorite picture of my oldest daughter. It was taken at our wedding 5 years ago.
Congratulations, Baby. I am very proud of you. 
Ok...I couldn't do a Friday post without some baked goods. So, I thought I would also include something ironic. My wedding cake. No, I didn't make it. I wasn't baking back then. I just find it interesting that the queen of chocolate and fancy cakes, had niether on her own wedding day.

ReplyDeleteThe college years...hang on tight. Is she attending a Wisconsin school? Both my niece and nephew go to college in Wisconsin. One to Oshkosh and the other is at Whitewater, my alma mater.

You don't look old enough to have a child in college. That cake is gorgeous. I wish I could have a bite of it and ours too. I loved the cake from our wedding. Everyone else did too. It had white chocolate seashells on it and everyone kept coming up to me all night begging to take one off the cake and eat it. It was all so yummy! Even the top of the cake which we ate one our one year anniversary. Why does your blog always have to make me so darn hungry for something sweet. Knock it off won't you? :P
