Mother's Day Cupcakes

Here, it's time for Tackle It Tuesday with 5 Minutes for Mom and this weekend I tackled cupcakes for my mom.

Most people give cards to show love and gratitude. Me? I give desserts and Mom knows it. So, when I asked what she wanted for Mother's Day and her birthday, she said my lemon cupcakes. (Well, they aren't totally mine. They are semi-homemade.)


It's a box of lemon cake topped with canned lemon frosting topped with a fresh strawberry and powdered sugar. The tartness of the strawberry pairs well with the lemon and the sweetness of the garnish cuts through the pucker nicely. She loved them!

    Oh my gosh! These are so darling! I am a cupcake fanatic! I bought the cutest cupcake book this week at the book store. I can't wait to try the recipes in there!
