Wisconsin State Fair

This week we tackled the Wisconsin State Fair.

When I think about this event I always think about the food! Sure, we heard bands, saw animals, smelled gorgeous flowers and beheld blue ribbons pies. Heck we even saw the pig races! But for me, the food was KING!!

There are traditions, must-haves and must-trys. For me one of the must-haves are Saz's sour cream and chive fries! They are "shut up" good! For the must-trys, may I present the following:

Chocolate-Covered Bacon

It was not good:-(


Fried PB&J

It was not good:-(

And lastly, there is one tradition that can not be missed:

CREAM PUFFS!!

    I have heard of chocolate covered bacon but have yet to try it and now, maybe I won't ;)

    I love bacon. And I love chocolate. But chocolate-covered bacon doesn't sound yummy, at all!

    whew! i was gonna be all shut-up-irritated if tha bacon wa good and the cream puffs were bad... hmmm... now i want men some cream puffs... Dang it. you'd think I'd learn. Do Not Read Susie's Blog When Hungry!!! hehehe

    ewwwww, that chocolate covered bacon, I had to scroll back and look at that again. I like bacon. I like chocolate. The thought of the two together kinda turns my stomach. Cream puffs are making me hungry, better go get breakfast!

    The bacon just sounds vile. But I am surprised that the PB&J was not good. Last year I decided to forgo the deep fried oreos. And this year, I am thinking that I must partake...

    Oh Susie that just sounds nasty awful! Who thought of that one ?
    Now the cream puff that makes me bummed I am allergic to milk :)

    I can not imagine the combination of bacon and chocolate. The two tastes just don't go together.

    Now the peanut butter and jelly fried, I could imagine that and wonder why it wasn't good :(

    Oh my, chocolate covered bacon?! That would so satisfy this baby and his(my) salty and sweet cravings. I gotta have one then the other in a sitting. Wa-la, that bacon thing is perfect! Hmm...

    Catching up on posts and saw yours on the WI State Fair - my favorite event of the summer! We didn't try the Chocolate Covered bacon, but the Cream Puffs were to die for, as always!!
