Yesterday, my youngest and I went to the Pumpkin Farm!!! Finally!! We had a great time! We rode the bus for the first time. There was a hay ride and a corn maze. And, well....pumpkins:-)
They even had a ball pit:-) She had such a great time that she said, "Mom, I had a lot of fun with you today." Tell me that doesn't touch your heart:-)
Look at ya'll all bundled up! When my girls were little and we would go to the pumpkin farm, it was so amusing because they looked so un-fallish. In their shorts and short sleeves...
cute pics. Glad to see she is out and baout - cute in her little sunglasses too! And love the turkey pic. Being someone who doesn't really care for Turkey all that much (except deli-sliced) I am a ham lover for the holidays!
It does look like a lot of fun! Maybe that's something for us to do here - I know I could use a day out with the kids. I love that sign - I will give thanks to my ham while I'm eating the turkey!
The ball pit - I've never seen one at a pumpkin farm - that's cool!
I love when my kids admit that I am capable of providing them with a fun time - it is heartwarming to hear!
Hi Susie, Thanks so much for stopping by my blog...so nice to "meet" you! I enjoyed seeing the photos from your day at the Pumpkin Farm. What a cool idea to have a ball pit out of hay bales! My son (who is now 19) would have been in complete bliss to see something like that. I love what your daughter said to you...complete sweetness. = )
It looks like you guys had fun! And the turkey sign is cute as hell.
AND... I was wondering, since you are so amazing at pretty much everything... do you have a super awesome recipe for Red velvet cake? My husband's birthday is soon, and that is his favorite cake.
Greetings from Virginia, which, of course, is for Lovers, Politics & History! Thanks so much for dropping in for my BATW Day in the Sun...Love your blog & REALLY love this particular post! Please drop by to see me again sometime soon!
Pumpkin patches seem to bring out the best in all of us! So much fun. And it sounds like you guys had a blast! I'm jealous that you got to wear warm clothes to your pumpkin patch, though- it was 90 degrees here last week when we went. It just doesn't feel the same when you're sweating and getting sunburned while trying to pick the perfect pumpkin, lol.
A ball pit at the pumpkin farm....how great is that!
ReplyDeleteFun times!!
I love the idea of a ball pit in the hay--my kids would have been all over that!
ReplyDeleteWhata sweet thing your daughter said--very heartwarming indeed!
And LOL at the turkey's sign!
