This week we tackled the Wisconsin State Fair.
When I think about this event I always think about the food! Sure, we heard bands, saw animals, smelled gorgeous flowers and beheld blue ribbons pies. Heck we even saw the pig races! But for me, the food was KING!!
There are traditions, must-haves and must-trys. For me one of the must-haves are Saz's sour cream and chive fries! They are "shut up" good! For the must-trys, may I present the following:

Chocolate-Covered Bacon
It was not good:-(
Fried PB&J

And lastly, there is one tradition that can not be missed:
CREAM PUFFS!!
These were VERY, VERY, VERY GOOD!!
I have heard of chocolate covered bacon but have yet to try it and now, maybe I won't ;)

ReplyDeleteewwwww, that chocolate covered bacon, I had to scroll back and look at that again. I like bacon. I like chocolate. The thought of the two together kinda turns my stomach. Cream puffs are making me hungry, better go get breakfast!

ReplyDeleteThe bacon just sounds vile. But I am surprised that the PB&J was not good. Last year I decided to forgo the deep fried oreos. And this year, I am thinking that I must partake...

ReplyDeleteCatching up on posts and saw yours on the WI State Fair - my favorite event of the summer! We didn't try the Chocolate Covered bacon, but the Cream Puffs were to die for, as always!!
