Girl Scout Cookie Cake

Some of my readers may remember this cake from last year:

I am bringing it back to remind all of you that we are in the middle of Girl Scout Cookie season!!! If you haven't already, you will soon hear the call of the cookie from your neighborhood Girl Scout and it is important to answer the call.
As a Daisy Leader, I am here to tell you that by buying a box of cookies (of several boxes) from that little girl over the phone or at the door, you can help to change a girl's life! I am just starting off with these girls and some of them have little tiny voices. By participating in the Girl Scouts, girls learn important life skills. They learn to think for themselves, be leaders, give back to the community but the most important thing: They learn to stand in the center of who they are and speak up and say what they have to say. All from a cookie!
Now, I know that it is new year resolution season, but these cookies freeze very easily. So, you can tuck them away and bring them out for snacks at school, in the middle of summer by the pool or for any ocassion for celebrating. And, if that weren't enough, the Girl Scout website has more recipe ideas for you:-)

So, no excuses!! Answer the call of the cookie. It will help a girl in your life to be her best and you will feel great doing it!

I read on another blog how the Girl Scout money is used for them. It makes me even more happy to buy boxes of them!! We love GS cookies!!

I am a former Girl Scout and I have sold many a cookie in my day. Which is why I love to support my neighbors daughters. I buy four boxes from one neighbor and four more from another. A new girl stopped at my door and it broke my heart to turn her away, but I just couldn't do more than 8 boxes or my hubby would kill me!

Just another tradition we do not have here. Such a cool idea.

I used to be a Brownie...and sold cookies..
Now though...it's hard to get cookies..they sell out so fast. Our cookie season isn't til the spring. Luckily we have a Brownie living across the street from us.. she usually remembers to ask us to buy some.
We love girl guide cookies

we dont have any little scouts in my neighborhood. however there is a troop that ALWAYS sells them outside one of the local grocers. I always let my kids each pick a box. And then of course I get my Samoas, and hide them! hehehe!

They do freeze beautifully! I think I overdid it on Thin Mints for life but I still love those shortbread cookies!

Thanks for stopping by on my SITS day! I LOVED all the comment love and now I'm here to spread it around!

I wish I could grow stuff. I was THRILLED last year until I found out one of my favorite plants was a weed!

Stopping by from SITS. What a great post. I remember my Girl Scout Days... it's funny how so often the parents just take their kid's order forms to work and don't actually give the kids a chance to do the talking about it. Of course, I wouldn't get cookies any other way since I don't know anyone in Girl Scouts currently, so I guess I'm happy for the woman who always brings the order form to work! :)

Yum-o! Any excuse to get people to buy more boxes of cookies!!

So are you taking pre-orders this year or are you taking the boxes and selling them door to door. This is the NEW way we are selling cookies this year. I'm not sure if I am happy about it.
