Last week, we celebrated my youngest's golden 6th birthday. We had a great time at Chuck E. Cheese and devouring that cake! I also sent the kids home with these favor bags:
Aren't they cute and cheap!! Favors for 20 kids for under $10!!! Check it out:
20 plan lunch bags: $0.53
20 pencils: $1.06
20 small toys: $3.17
100 stickers: $2.11
20 sheets of light-weight card stock: $1.06
Total Cost for 20 favor bags: $7.93
And so easy:
1. Have your child help label each bag with his/her guests' names. Fill bags with the pencils, toys and stickers.
2. Use light weight card stock trimmed with scallop scissors to form a 7 X4 inch rectangle to make the toppers.
3. Fold the rectangle in half length-wise and decorate with anything you have on hand (I used a Happy Birthday stamp and some gold glitter glue).
4. Place the topper over the top of the bag and secure in place with a couple staples.
AND on top of everything, it only took about an hour to put together. What could be better than that?

The goody bags are always the highlight!
Fine work, simple and looks elegant.
They look great. We made little coloring books that I printed from a free page. The kids loved it.
those are really cute.
Simple is always best!
Good for you!
:)
I bet the kids loved them! Hey, when I was a kid, my mom would let all of us decorate our own goodie bags with stickers and crayons. It was a fun craft activity we all enjoyed! (And just to put time in perspective, that was before peel-and-stick. We used to have to lick the stickers--I can still taste that icky glue 45 years later, LOL!)
Cute idea. Glad you had fun at Chuck E. Cheese. My two love that place too.

I think these kind are way more unique and special...definitely a creative touch from the kids themselves. =)
Genius woman!
I LOVE the whole goody bag for less thingy. We did that with Kienna's party too! lunch sacks, some card stock.. clearance party packs. the kids don't know and they don't care either! they are just happy to have them! Good job!

I already follow your blog. Stopping in from Friday Follow to say hello. Kids love the goodie bags. I love the little stamp tag that you made for the goodie bag. Happy Friday Follow.
I bet you also loved that you did not need to clean up the mess! That was always my favorite part when I took the kids out for a party. Belated b'day wishes to him :o)
Love the goodie bags.
How is the weather in Wisconsin?
So cute! I always thought the best part of a birthday party was the goody bags...
Great job mama! And as a mom I would appreciate that you did not include candy like every other goody bag:)
The golden birthday :) So Cute!
Great goody bags. It is so important to keep the cost down on those. You can have to rob the bank if you're not careful!
Wow this is a great idea and way to save money for sure. Thanks for stopping by my Round Robin. It was great this month 53 people linked up the most I have ever had. If it was not for you and your great ideas it would have not worked out. I can't wait to see what you have to share next Month.. Have a great weekend.
Great idea.
I remember making those kinds when my boys were younger. Now the girls like to have princess bags..but i think next birthday they can help and do those.

Simple is often best.
My twins have a birthday coming up in June, and I was thinking of having it at Chuck E Cheese's.
Goody bags are the highlight, and the cake, at least for my kids.
Those bags are cute and inexpensive. You are so good at this stuff. Happy [late] Friday Follow and Happy Valentine's Day!
