Friday's Foto Fun with Produce

Time for Carrie's Friday Foto Finish Fiesta !!

This week, I am tantalizing you with a single crisp and succulent apple from my apple tree.

There is nothing quiet like going in your back yard and plucking a beauty like this and sinking your teeth into the rosy red skin with a crunch into the snow white juicy center.

Hungry? Good:-) Come back Monday for Susie's Homemade Apple Pie Recipe:-) In the meantime, I leave you with Big Yellow Taxi:

"Hey farmer, farmer, put away your DDT. I don't care about spots on my apples, leave me the birds and the bees - please"

Do you know what variety of apples your tree is?

About two years ago I discovered Pink Lady apples (also called Crisps Pink) and they are my favorite. apple. ever! So crisp and sweet and juicy! Mmmmm!

You know, I don't know what variety they are. The trees were here when my husband bought the house. It was part of the selling point. We also have grapes and pear trees. We don't know what they are either other than delicious:-)

I want fruit tress in my back yard. I need to find a nursery to come over and see where they would thrive. And if they need to be bought in pairs. I have great ideas...but I need someone else to take care of them :-)

I agree with you completely. Can't wait to see the pics of your pie. I loved being able to walk into my backyard and pick plums off the tree this summer. Nevaeh did too. I did a blog with her eating them a while back. She was so cute and covered in plum juice. Sticky Sticky!

Thanks for stopping by via BATW the other day! Honestly, I thought you guys were still the leading dairy state until I did the research. :) But I like having the title "Golden State", so you guys can keep your title. :)

Your own apple tree? I am totally jealous. But I will definitely come back for your pie recipe!

I love having apple trees in the yard. We had one in our back yard as a kid. The apples were only good every other year. What's up with that?

Nice Photo!

The way you described that apple- pure deliciousness! I've been thinking about getting miniature fruit trees for my patio, and that just made me want to do it all the more.

Hi Susie! coming back to your blog again...but this time to thank you for visiting my blog a couple of times and also on Wednesday when my blog was one of the BATW-featured ones from TX!

When we really know where we will be (more) permanently, I would like to have fruit trees in my back yard. And that includes red delicious apples!

Meanwhile, enjoy yours!
