Hollow it out , drill holes in it, place a small light bulb and hang it outside (saw that in a Martha Stewart magazine.LOL)

Looks like a butternut squash, you could always just roast it with a little butter, salt and pepper, yum!!!!

That looks like a butternut squash. There are some wonderful soup recipes and even a recipe for fries made from them. Lots of yummy ways to cook it.
