Presto Pesto

It's time to harvest the basil and I love it because that means pesto time:

I love it! It is good in pasta dishes, mixed with mayo on sandwiches and even as a topping for grilled fish. I found a recipe for some dessert pesto that I am dying to try. I will let you know how it turns out:-)

Ahh! I always forget about pesto at harvest time. Thanks for the reminder, I have some very pretty basil to use. I have problems finding good pine nuts though. Last time I bought some they left a terrible metal taste in my mouth for days.

I'll be watching for your recipe!

What is pesto?

Ok, so Zumba is aerobic dance. Like unlike traditional dance classes, where they stop and show you 8 count by 8 count choreograpy, zumba is just pure fast dance (why I love it.) You go song by song, with maybe 30 seconds for a break between songs. The music ranges from salsa to reggae to popular music and is just absolutely a ball. The classes I go to have women in their 70s, overweight women, skinny women, high school atheletes (girls and boys), 50 year old men recovering from heart attacks and just everyday moms and girls in their 20s. Go to you tube and type in zumba--billie jean. There's a clip from a class in North Carolina and we do that dance in my zumba class.
